The Price Of A Confident Smile

The Price Of A Confident Smile

When you go to take a picture, you're told to "say Cheese! Smile" and so you do. You open your mouth and show your teeth.
The healthier your teeth are the more confident you are at opening it up for picture otherwise you simply manage a forced smile with lips shut.

A clean and healthy set of teeth makes you feel good about yourself; it boosts your image and self confidence and makes you look more attractive.
Have you experienced having to discuss with someone and after he started speaking you hadn't a choice but to step back because of the boom from his mouth.
Most mouth woes, odors, pains, bad gums are caused by plague.
Plague is a sticky layer of micro organisms, food particles and other organic matter that forms on the surface of the teeth and at the side of each teeth. The bacteria in plaque acts on food particles and produce acid that can cause bone root and gum change.

The best defense then is to remove plaque daily before it has a change to build up and cause problems by brushing and flossing.
Brushing removes plaque from the large surface of the teeth and if done correctly from under the gums, but it will require flossing to remove plaque in between the teeth.

General Highlight About Care Of The Teeth

1.

Brush atleast twice a day: Oral health professionals recommend brusing just before going to bed. When you sleep saliva flow decreases, leaving the teeth vulnerable to bacterial acids; But with the mouth properly brushed, there won't be food particles for these bacteria to act on. It is also good to brush in the morning before or after breakfast.

2. Brush lightly: Effective brushing requires skill not strength. Scrubbing the teeth hard may result in gum damage over time. More so, once plaque has hardened, brushing can no longer remove it no matter how hard you brush. Hence, regular light brushing is the recommended practice.

3. Brush for atleast 3 minutes: Some hurriedly go throught the process as an unnecessary inconvenience. Have it at the back of your mind that your oral hygiene will affect your interactions in the course of the day, making people to either be attracted or repelled from you. Pay attention to brushing each tooth regularly.

4. Brush your tongue and the root of your mouth: Usually it is not just your teeth you are brushing but your mouuth, hence remember to also clean those non teeth areas.

5. Visit a dentist at least twice a year: Preventive medication at times requires discipline but will surely prove cheaper that curative medication. Prevention is better than cure.
