In view of life's difficult circumstances, we are sometimes tempted to ask whether or not God really cares for us. But the bible reveals God as our dependable provider (Philippians 4:19). On the pages of the scriptures, He portrayed as one who sees and cares for all our needs. He has the very hairs of our head numbered. He knows our frame, and he knows that we are dependent creatures. Though it sounds incredible, the truth is, He cares for us even more than we do for ourselves.
Assurance
As true christains, we are very precious in the sight of God. And just as we take the best care of those things that cost us the most, so does God. You can rest surely that the God who loves you enough to redeem you from your sin with the blood of his own son, loves you enough to provide for all your present needs.
Sometimes we are not too clear about what our needs are, though. We think we really need something when the fact of the matter is we just really want. The Bible says that God knows us better than we know ourselves. He knows our hearts. He knows our mind. He is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. He knows the real you. He knows your peculiar condition, and delights in providing for your needs, healing your sicknesses, delivering you from oppression and giving you joy in exchange of sadness. Blevopedia. No matter how serious or terrible your situation may seem to be, rest assure that God is interested in your welfare. He has neither forgotten nor forsaken you. His promises are immutable as his personality.
Attitude
Some believers seem to think that since God has promised and cannot fail, they must be blessed whether they make an effort or not. This is not the right attitude. God expects you to make an effort. You cannot sit idle and expect prosperity; neither can you be lazy and expect abundance. This is because "He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand; but the hand of the diligent maketh rich" (Proverbs 10:4). Do not despise the day of small beginning. Ensure you engage in a spiritual acceptable venture. Be committed and be disciplined. Finally, if we put God first in our lives, then the scripture says that we will not want for food, clothing or shelter because God will supply all our needs. As you are diligent in your secular work, so should you be in fellowship and communion with God, committing yourself and your endeavours to him in prayer.
My prayer is that as you make him your shepherd and remain under his control, his goodness and mercies shall follow you all the days of your life in Jesus name (Amen).
